Montréal International receives three prizes for the excellence of its Greater Montréal promotion tools

MONTREAL , Oct. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Montréal International has been awarded three prestigious prizes by two organizations grouping professionals in economic development, which are the Association des professionnels en développement économique du Québec (APDEQ) and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). These distinctions underline the excellence of the Greater Montreal promotion tools developed by Montréal International.

On the occasion of its 50th congress which took place between September 30 and October 2 2009, APDEQ awarded several prizes within the framework of the 2008-2009 Promotional Tools contest. The purpose of this contest is to recognize the best communication tools from the economic development organizations of Québec, in terms of quality and originality. It is within this context that Montréal International was awarded the Coup de cœur du jury award from APDEQ, for a promotional video entitled It's your turn to choose Montréal. This video presents Greater Montreal's multiple assets, particularly its high-technology industries, its dynamic business environment, its international character and its exceptional quality of life. Produced as a trilingual DVD (English, French, and Chinese), it addresses foreign investors and qualified workers, as well as international organizations.

On October 6 2009, in Reno (Nevada), at the IEDC annual conference, Montréal International was also awarded a prize for its promotional video. This prize rewards the best promotional tool produced by an economic development organization in the general purpose promotion category. This is the second time that Montréal International is recognized by IDEC, since in 2007; that year, MI was the recipient of a prize in the general information brochure category.

Moreover, APDEQ awarded a second prize to Montréal International in the Information Tools category for its Attractiveness Indicators 2009-2010, a publication intended to help foreign investors looking for an investment site gather more information on Greater Montréal.
