Montreal is getting ready for THE greatest cat celebration Canada has ever had!
OTTAWA, April 1, 2019 /CNW/ - Humane Canada and the Montreal SPCA are proud to present the first-ever Montreal Cat Expo: an evening of fun dedicated to cats and the people who love them.
The sold out event will welcome over 500 cat enthusiasts to celebrate and indulge in all things feline! A highlight of the event includes a live presentation by celebrity Jackson Galaxy, known for his popular TV show on Animal Planet, "My Cat from Hell". This will be Galaxy's first Canadian appearance.
"Canadians love cats, they are still this country's most popular pet. We are excited to partner with our member Montreal SPCA in hosting this one-of-a-kind event to raise much-needed funds to continue our work of advocating and advancing animal welfare in Canada, while elevating the status of cats", says Barbara Cartwright, CEO of Humane Canada.
Funds raised from the event will help further cat welfare on a national and community based level with proceeds going to Humane Canada and Montreal SPCA.
Sold out within only three weeks, the upcoming event owes much of its success to the commitment and support of sponsors who believed in the vision of the Montreal Cat Expo. Mondou, a Canadian leader in the distribution of products, services and accessories for the health and well-being of pets of all kinds, is the proud presenting sponsor of this one-time event. "We are very excited to be part of this unique event raising funds while celebrating our love for cats", commented Cintia Hudon, Marketing Director for Mondou. "We make a point to give back to the community by helping various animal welfare causes, including shelters and the MIRA Foundation, which we have been supporting for 20 years. And we are very proud to introduce an adoption zone for shelter cats this month in our St-Jérôme store, a first in Quebec! Visitors will be able to meet a dozen cats cohabiting in freedom and harmony, in a living space designed specifically for them, so I am happy to extend this invitation to all of you to visit and indulge these cats with your hugs and kisses!"
The Montreal Cat Expo will certainly be the most purr-fect evening for a wonderful cause!
