WHAT:	Canadian Cardiovascular Congress (CCC) 2010 opening ceremonies and Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Lecture: Dr. Robert Côté, renowned stroke expert, professor of neurology at McGill University and a senior physician at the Montreal General Hospital, warns that action is needed to prevent the burden of an upcoming tsunami of vascular diseases.

Co-hosted by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, CCC is Canada's largest science and health meeting, with close to 4,000 attendees from a host of health specialties. It takes place in Montreal from October 24 to 27, 2010.

Close to 700 research studies from coast to coast will be presented - including featured studies from leading Quebec researchers.
