"Montréal Symphonique will be a landmark event for this summer's celebrations."
"Montréal Symphonique is not only a landmark event of the 375th anniversary of our city's celebrations programming but also a historical event that measures up to Montréal's reputation on the international scene. At the peak of the 2017 summer, at the foot of the Mount Royal, all Montrealers will experience an unforgettable moment. Wherever we might be in Montréal on August 19th 2017, we will be proud to celebrate our anniversary as well as our diversity, we will be proud to appreciate the bountiful talents and creativity of our city. Come one, come all!" declared Montreal major Mr Denis Coderre.
"Montréal Symphonique is the unique chance for Montrealers to enjoy, in the outdoors and everywhere in the city, the great orchestras which have made our city famous on the international classical music scene. This event being put together is a witness to our artists' desire to honour our city's vibrant history and future", according to Marc Coiteux, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Minister of Public Security and Minister for the Montréal region.
"The celebrations for Canada 150 and the 375th anniversary of Montréal offer us wonderful opportunities to showcase our rich cultural heritage and the talent of our artists. Montréal Symphonique is a case in point. This event is a great venue for the people of Montréal's boroughs to come meet the exceptional musicians and singers who contribute to our country's excellent reputation," said the Honorable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage.
"After three years of work putting this event together, it is with pride that we offer it to Montrealers.
