The filmmaker's movie will be put in the spotlight with a performance by all three orchestras with the exclusive authorisation of Paramount Pictures!
MONTRÉAL, Aug. 15, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Montréal Symphonique, major event of the official programming of the 375th anniversary of the city of Montréal and GSI Musique is coming up soon. On Saturday August 19th, the public will witness an extraordinary musical and visual where all senses will be called upon during this spectacular concert.
Arrival by Denis Villeneuve
The seasons theme which serves as the foundation of this concert will showcase a fifth imaginary season within which the Montréal Symphonique team wanted to present a symphonic tribute. The introduction of this fifth season will allow to recognise Denis Villeneuve's body of work and his film Arrival which was met with great success following its release last year.
The original soundtrack music composed by Jòhann Jòhannsson will be magnificently arranged and conducted by Simon Leclerc. We will be hearing Arrival and On the Nature of Daylight, the latter written and originally arranged by Max Richter.
This artistic hint presented to Denis Villeneuve is a proud moment for an artist from Québec who succedeed, but also a time for reflexion which proves that anything is possible. "If we seek the fulfillment of our dreams, we can do it. This concert bears witness to Montréal's openness to the world and its immense talent. Without limits, we can do great things," emphasises Nicolas Lemieux.
Autorisation by Paramount Pictures
Authorisations were needed from the creator but also from Paramount Pictures in order to put together and make this moment happen both visually and musically. Footage from the film was allowed to be projected during August 19th's concert at the foot of the Mount Royal.
