MONTRÉAL, Nov. 4, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - We're celebrating Montreal
In 2017, Montreal will mark a milestone anniversary – 375 years since its founding. Bayard Canada was selected to participate in the official programming by publishing an album illustrating the city's history and architectural development. Each double-page spread (9 in all) illustrates a key date in Montreal's history. The album is designed in a search-and-find format. Readers are invited to find important buildings and monuments concealed in the illustrations. Factual text accompanies the illustrations to highlight key events in our city's history.
"Montréal au fil du temps (Montreal through the years) will introduce young people to important events in Montreal's history. The illustrations offer a lively look at the city's past, including its architectural evolution. It will broaden their horizons by taking them on a fun, educational journey back through time," said Serge Postigo, assistant commissioner of the 375th celebrations.
Montréal au fil du temps is a fun, educational journey that traces the major signposts on the road to the city's architectural and urban development from 1642 to 2017.
