EXPERIENCE THE WILD WEST IN AN URBAN SETTING!
MONTRÉAL, Aug. 24, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Montréal and country music lovers will be heading to the big roundup this week at the Nomad Fest Urban Rodeo! Discover the world of cowboys and country music at Quai Jacques-Cartier starting Thursday. Get down for some very generous helpings of music, food, and rodeo fare guaranteed to have visitors smiling from ear to ear! Normand Brathwaite, Laurence Jalbert, Paul Daraîche, and Martin Deschamps will pay tribute to Dédé Fortin, while country music sensation Brett Kissel, 24 star Kiefer Sutherland, and many others will also be on hand to fill the bill for your listening pleasure.
La Grande Tournée is setting up as well in Parc Jarry in the Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension borough this week. Join in the fun with friends, family, and neighbours to savour the flavors of this unique city district!

Concert Sept stations musicales des berges
This concert will present a musical journey that will showcase the banks of the rivière des Prairies around the visitor center at Gouin course, at the dusk. Spectators will witness a unique chamber music concert by moving seven plates close together in the enchanting Basile Routhier Park. The evening will end with the creation of an original work dedicated to the Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

City Thread is a multidisciplinary interactive performance that takes place outdoors. Live geolocated dance, music, and video performances come together to offer viewers an exceptional experience. More than observers, they become active participants when they choose to follow one or another group of dancers on a designated path using an exclusive smart-phone application made specifically for the FDV performance.

The Quartier des Spectacles Partnership presents a large-scale art walk, from August 30 to October 15, 2017. The event features more than 20 original pieces and permanent art work, in the visual arts, digital arts, design and architecture, to be displayed outdoors on building walls, in public squares and at several unconventional sites within the Quartier des Spectacles.
