Mood Media to Reach over Two Million U.S. College Students through Agreement with Nebraska Book Company
National On-Campus Retailer Will Utilize Mood Media's Music and Messaging Services
TORONTO, Jan. 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Mood Media Corporation (TSX:MM / LSE AIM:MM), the world's leading in-store media solutions provider, today announced that it has entered into a new national agreement with the Nebraska Book Company, a leading retailer serving the college bookstore industry. Under the terms, Mood Media is providing custom music, messaging and new sound systems to Nebraska Book Company's 290 on and off campus store locations throughout the United States.
Through its stores, Nebraska Book Company reaches over 2 million college and university students. The company is an innovator in the campus bookstore market, developing new storefront concepts, e-commerce solutions, and consumer partnerships designed to meet the changing needs of college students. The retailer selected Mood Media to help position its brand and enhance the in-store experience utilizing Mood Media's industry-leading expertise in sensorial marketing and environmental branding.
The producers at Mood Media have developed and will regularly update playlists that will resonate with the retailers' college-aged customers using over 400 major label songs. Messaging will be developed to broadcast promotions and drive sales at the point-of-purchase. Using Mood Media's suite of online tools, Nebraska Book will be able to edit playlists and manage messaging in real time, and create custom playlist for special events and seasonal promotions.
