More than 11,700 acres of land to be sold at Ritchie Bros. unreserved auction in Oyen, Alberta
Unreserved auction on June 15 in Oyen, AB features 75 quarters of real estate-one home quarter, 30 parcels of farmland, seven parcels of grazing lease-and a selection of farm equipment
OYEN, AB, June 11, 2013 /CNW/ - Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE andTSX: RBA), the world's largest auctioneer of farm, construction and other equipment, will sell 75 quarters of real estate—equalling more than 11,700 acres—at an unreserved public auction in Oyen, AB on June 15, 2013. All land will be sold to the highest bidders with no minimum bids or reserve prices. Bids can be made in person at the auction site, online at www.rbauction.com or by proxy.
"It's a rare opportunity for this quantity of farmland to be available, let alone all of it being sold in a single day," said Tyler Ruttan, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. "Another unique thing about this farmland sale is the close proximity of the quarters—there are two different blocks of land and the quarters in each block all sit beside each other. Nowadays, most farmers are working land spread out all over the place, but this sale offers buyers the opportunity to purchase multiple quarters located right next to each other. We will also be selling a good mix of grain handling and livestock equipment."
All farmland and equipment is being sold as part of a complete dispersal for the owners of Bale Cattle Co. Ltd., who are retiring after more than 35 years of farming and cattle ranching in southeastern Alberta.
The land will be sold as 36 separate lots of varying sizes. Complete details about all the farmland are available on the Ritchie Bros. website at: http://www.rbauction.com/heavy-equipment-auctions/real-estate/oyen-ab
