More Than 300 Families to be Honoured with a Century Family Farm Award
REGINA, May 27, 2014 /CNW/ - Information Services Corporation ("ISC") will honour 308 Saskatchewan farm families this spring with a Century Family Farm Award. The award recognizes families who have continuously maintained the same farm or ranch operation for 100 years or more.
"ISC is proud to recognize these Saskatchewan farm families for their remarkable achievement," Jeff Stusek, ISC President and CEO, said. "It's a privilege to recognize the family farming tradition and the important role it plays in the history of our province."
As the safekeeper of important historical documents such as land grants and titles, geographic maps and photos and survey information, ISC proudly supports initiatives such as the Century Family Farm Award that preserve and promote Saskatchewan history. By the time this year's program wraps up, ISC will have awarded over 3,600 farm families since 2007.
"By sponsoring and managing this annual program, we celebrate the traditions and heritage that have shaped our province," Stusek said.
