My EAP app exceeds 100,000 downloads, providing more people immediate and confidential access to employee and family assistance program support
TORONTO, Oct. 14, 2014 /CNW/ - Morneau Shepell is pleased to announce the latest enhancements to its My EAP app, which provides fast, easy and confidential access to employee and family assistance program (EFAP) support via mobile devices worldwide. The My EAP app offers employees and their families a wide range of assistance, such as health and wellness information through articles and videos, as well as interactive tools, including private online counselling.
The just-released version of the app provides the following new features:
- Service in Spanish, in addition to English and French
- A redesigned look and layout that facilitates access to EFAP assistance
- A Financial Wellness Score assessment that helps users gauge their financial health and complements other tools that measure stress level and relationship quality
- A help section with Frequently Asked Questions
"Morneau Shepell is committed to ensuring that My EAP continues to meet the evolving needs of employees and their family members," stated Stephen Liptrap, Executive Vice President, Morneau Shepell and General Manager for Shepell. "As increasing numbers of users access My EAP, we learn more about what they're looking for and how we can help. Our latest release reflects that progression." Morneau Shepell has prepared a video to demonstrate the new My EAP features.
Since My EAP was introduced at the beginning of 2012, more than 100,000 people have downloaded the free app. Over that period, more than 14,000 users seeking EFAP assistance identified the My EAP app as their referring source. In the last 16 months, almost 3,500 people were helped by accessing a professional service through the app.
"My EAP gives employees and their family members another way to get help when they want it, wherever they are," said Liptrap. "The numbers clearly indicate that today's tech-savvy workers appreciate the ability to access personal support online and are taking advantage of the assistance available to them."
Morneau Shepell received the 2013 Innovative Practices Award by the Council on Accreditation (COA) in recognition of My EAP as a new and forward-thinking tool that raises the quality of services provided and uniquely meets the needs of client populations. My EAP was also named Innovation of Year in 2012 by the Employee Assistance European Forum and received the Canadian Award for Training Excellence in 2013 from the Canadian Society of Training and Development.
