Morneau Shepell ranked the fastest growing capital accumulation plan provider by Benefits Canada Magazine Français
Assets and percentage growth among large-scale plans due in large part to flexible and technology-based solutions
TORONTO, Dec. 10, 2013 /CNW/ - Morneau Shepell, Canada's largest human resources and outsourcing firm, has been named the fastest growing capital accumulation plan (CAP) provider by percentage of assets. The latest edition of Benefits Canada Magazine's CAP Suppliers Report shows Morneau Shepell's assets under management totaling more than $6.4 billion - an increase of 60.8 per cent over last year. This is the third time in the last four years that Morneau Shepell has been the fastest growing CAP provider.
"Each plan sponsor has specific and diverse needs," said Idan Shlesinger, Managing Partner, Defined Contribution Pensions and Savings Plans. "Our clients require solutions that are flexible and can be re-calibrated based on their changing needs. We make sure Morneau Shepell's solutions can fit the plan sponsor's requirements and not the other way around."
While many insurance providers offer a typical bundled approach to fund selection, investment type and contracting, Morneau Shepell's growth over the past year has risen due, in large part, to its unbundled approach, which provides an open architecture, unparalleled flexibility and control for plan sponsors.
"Part of what makes our solutions work for plan sponsors is our commitment to technology," added Shlesinger. "We are constantly updating our tools, adapting to client needs and providing websites and communication that helps drive member participation towards a more secure retirement. Our sites are easy to navigate, have easy-to-use retirement planning tools and provide messages that drive participant action," said Jeremy Evanson, Partner, Defined Contribution Pensions and Savings Plans Innovation.
Along with flexibility of choice and the ability to pick and choose aspects of administration, Morneau Shepell aids plan sponsors with governance reports to help meet the guidelines established for CAPs in Canada. Full integration of Morneau Shepell's services can be achieved with other programs including health and welfare, defined benefit plans, employee assistance plans, total rewards and wellness programs.
