TORONTO, Nov 5, 2018 /CNW/ - The Mortgage Awards of Excellence (MAE) is excited to build upon the success of its inaugural event and is pleased to introduce new representatives to the planning committee for 2019.
MAE is thrilled to welcome Hali Noble to the new role of Vice-Chair, assuming the role of Chair in 2019. Michael Cameron is the newly added Chair of Communications.
These new roles will be instrumental in bringing innovative new ideas to the table and help MAE foster the culture of inclusiveness among the Canadian mortgage industry. They will join the not-for-profit organization's returning working committee members, including Chair Albert Collu, Awards Committee Chair Michael Beckette, and representatives from mortgage industry associations Mortgage Professionals Canada, the Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association and Canadian Mortgage Broker Association of Ontario.
"I am thrilled to have Michael Cameron come on board as the Chair of Communications," Noble says. "He is an active mortgage broker, a dedicated and passionate industry professional and social media guru with an incredible following. What more could we ask for!"
The MAE celebrates leadership, achievement and the pursuit of distinction in Canada's mortgage industry. These awards exemplify the spirit of mortgage professionals across the country. The 2019 awards will return to the Paramount Eventspace in Woodbridge, Ont., May 2, 2019.
Over the next few months, the MAE committee will be busy collaborating to ensure the second annual event captures the attention of even more industry members. With the first event under its belt, the MAE committee will be focused on succession planning as a top priority to ensure future success. "As 2018 was the inaugural event, we truly did not know what to expect in terms of the overall success. Clearly the industry responded in a very positive manner and collectively (as an industry) we were successful in taking this from concept to reality" said Collu. "With that success comes the need to implement long-term processes to continue to attract talent into the MAE Board to create succession, replenish ideas, and to maintain its momentum. We are truly excited to have Hali Noble join us as Vice-Chair. We are hopeful that many others in the industry will express interest in participating on the board and other sub-committees."
"We look forward to carrying on the MAE tradition of 'For the industry, by the industry' with another amazing event on May 2, and encourage all of our industry colleagues to submit nominations and join us to celebrate the achievements of so many deserving companies and individuals," stated Noble.
