The five-star airline is the co-presenting sponsor of the 5th MIM2013
MONTREAL, June 21, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Qatar Airways is proud to announce that its relationship with the city of Montréal has further blossomed as the award-winning airline today became the co-presenter of Mosaïcultures Internationales Montréal 2013 (MIM2013).
Almost two years to the day since the launch of its inaugural route to Montreal, Qatar participated in today's opening ceremony of MIM2013, kicking off what has become the world's most prestigious competition of horticultural art, and reinforcing the company's strong ties to the local community.
"This exhibit is indicative of the rich and vibrant cultural experiences this great city offers all year round to its own citizens as well as to travelers from all over the world," said Riyaz Saduddeen, Country Manager Canada at Qatar Airways. "We believe in integrating ourselves in the communities we serve, and today we are honored to support such a prestigious event and to help the Montreal Botanical Garden make the city even more beautiful."
Qatar Airways' partnership with the international horticultural competition includes a variety of activities that will allow MIM2013 visitors to travel around the world without ever leaving the city.
Qatar Airways International Crossroads
Located at the end of the visit trail in the large exhibit greenhouse, Qatar Airways International Crossroads will give visitors the opportunity to learn more about the various horticultural pieces of art they have seen and explore the represented countries through interactive stations and kiosks. This zone truly represents Qatar Airways commitment to giving Montrealers an instant access to the world and expanding their horizons.
Qatar Airways People's Choice Award
Additionally to the Grand Prize selected by an international jury, visitors will have the chance to express their appreciation of the exhibit with Qatar Airways People's Choice Award. Through this popular vote, a Mosaiculture will be selected as visitors' top choice and be crowned at the end of the competition on September 29th 2013. All visitors voting are eligible to win a trip for two in Doha (Qatar) for five days.
All details of the contest are available at mosaiculturesinternationales.ca.
