MONTREAL, Nov. 12, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Board of Directors of the Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec (Quebec federation of snowmobile clubs, FCMQ) wishes to inform the leaders of member snowmobile clubs, partners of the FCMQ, as well as all members of the Québec snowmobiling community, that Mr. Dany Quirion has advised them of his resignation from his duties both as volunteer president and member of the Board. This decision takes effect immediately and comes as a result of new challenges which he will surely tackle with all of the passion and fervour that are his trademark.
We wish to thank him for his volunteer involvement in, and important contribution to, the snowmobile industry in Quebec and wish him success in his new endeavours.
About the FCMQ: The Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec works at developing and promoting the activity of snowmobiling. This recreational, family activity generates over $2 billion in annual economic activity in the province. The FCMQ is the umbrella group for 202 member clubs which represent over 80,000 individual members. Thanks to the dedication and contributions of 4,500 volunteers, FCMQ affiliated clubs manage the sale of trail permits for the 32,000+ km network and see to the development, management, maintenance, signage and safety of the trail system.
