Mr. Lube Canada Announces Sale of Corporate-Owned Locations to Focus Solely
On Successful Franchising Model

Canada's Leading Quick Lube Brand to Leverage Successful Franchise Model

VANCOUVER, Nov. 3 /CNW/ - Mr. Lube Canada, Canada's leading quick lube and preventive automotive maintenance provider, has announced the sale of 23 established corporately-owned locations across Canada, resulting in all but one location to be franchise owned and operated. Each site is being sold to an existing Mr. Lube franchisee, demonstrating the individual strengths of the businesses included in the sale. The decision allows for Mr. Lube Canada to focus on its role as a successful franchisor, while continuing to expand nationally.

"We have decided to concentrate all of our efforts on supporting our franchising model. Due to our significant market successes and industry leading performance, we have created a solid investment vehicle by selling our established locations to a collection of trusted Mr. Lube franchisees," said Stuart Suls, President and Chief Operation Officer, Mr. Lube Canada. By selling the 23 corporately-owned locations to existing franchisees, Mr. Lube intends to keep its operations running seamlessly leading to and after the hand-over. The existing owners' knowledge of both the company and the market will help to ensure a smooth transition period for both staff and customers. Long-standing patrons and the community can also look forward to receiving the same quality service they have come to appreciate at Mr. Lube.

The expected closing date of the transaction is November 30, 2010, with all stores moving over to the franchisees for operations on December 1, 2010. The only remaining location which will continue under the ownership of Mr. Lube Canada is based in Edmonton, Alberta.
