Mr. Lube teams up with Zajac Ranch to offer children with medical conditions
an authentic camp experience

VANCOUVER, March 31 /CNW/ - Mr. Lube, Canada's leading quick lube provider, is proud to announce the launch of a national partnership with the Zajac Ranch for Children and the Zajac Foundation. The camp offers an opportunity to children with life-threatening illnesses or chronic disabilities from across Canada who would otherwise miss out on the chance to attend a camp.

Mr. Lube and the Zajac Foundation have come together to host the Mr. Lube Week at Camp Zajac. Mr. Lube has donated $25,000, which will be used to contribute to the transportation and general camp costs.

Mr. Lube's Oil Drop Campaign, which began over eight years ago, has been instrumental in their national strategy for children's welfare. It was created as part of the Mr. Lube Foundation to help support children's charities and to benefit the local, surrounding communities. Over the years, many Mr. Lube franchisees have taken the opportunity posed by both the Mr. Lube Foundation and the Mr. Lube Oil Drop Campaign to offer their passionate support.

"We're really excited about this year's Oil Drop Campaign," said Stuart Suls, President & COO, Mr. Lube Canada. "We wanted to do something for children who suffer from medical conditions and who are unable to attend camp because they are either too ill or unable to afford it. Fortunately we are supported in this effort by our customers and their amazing generosity."

The Mr. Lube Oil Drop Campaign presents Mr. Lube customers with the opportunity to contribute to the Mr. Lube Foundation by purchasing paper oil drops, to serve as donation. This year's Oil Drop campaign will be held from August 1st to 30th. As a nationwide effort, Mr. Lube locations will also have the chance to nominate children to attend the camp.

With the combined support for this mixed medical week program, Mr. Lube will be looking at hosting up to 50 children, each nominated from the surrounding area of one of their franchises. After undergoing a medical evaluation by the camp's Nursing Director to ensure the child is able to attend, each child will then receive confirmation of the exciting experience to follow.

Located on the shores of Stave Lake in Mission, BC, Zajac Ranch is host to hundreds of children with serious and chronic illnesses and disabilities every summer. They will be the proud venue for Mr. Lube Week from August 8th to 12th 2010.
