MRF 2010 Resource Limited Partnership - Closing March 31, 2010
TORONTO, Feb. 23 /CNW/ - Middlefield Group, on behalf of MRF 2010 Resource Limited Partnership ("MRF 2010" or the "Partnership"), is pleased to announce that it has completed the first closing of the initial public offering of MRF 2010 Units for $26,000,000. The offering is being made in each of the provinces and territories of Canada. The Partnership will have a second closing on March 31, 2010.
The objectives of the Partnership are to provide investors with capital appreciation and significant tax benefits to enhance after-tax returns, including the deductibility of 100% of their original investment. The Partnership intends to achieve these objectives by investing in an actively managed, diversified portfolio of flow-through common shares of companies involved primarily in Canadian oil and gas, mining or renewable energy exploration, development and production.
