Ms Andrée Grimard is appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quebec Culture Capital Fund

MONTREAL, Aug. 12, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Ministry of Culture and Communications, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Government of Québec, and the Fonds de solidarité FTQ are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Andrée Grimard to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quebec Culture Capital Fund. Ms Grimard succeeds to Mr. François Macerola who was Acting Chairman of the Board.

"The vast experience of Ms Grimard and her abilities and knowledge recognized in corporate law, commercial law and securities in banking and insurance will prove to be an asset for the Fund and in the pursuit of its goals," said Mr. Macerola, president and CEO of SODEC.

"We are pleased that Ms Grimard has agreed to help support the growth of cultural organizations and the development of their projects across the world, and we wish to thank Mr. Macerola for acting as Interim Chairman since February 6, 2013," added Mr. Robert Charpentier, Interim General Manager for Quebec Culture Capital Fund.

In assuming her duties as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ms Grimard said: "I am proud to fulfill the mandate entrusted to me and I intend to work closely with the Board members, partners and cultural entrepreneurs in order to pursue the mission of the Fund which is to invest in cultural organizations exporting their projects and products."
