MTY Group rolls out the 'purple carpet' for grand opening of 7 King Court

TORONTO, March 1, 2012 /CNW/ - MTY Group (www.mtygroup.com) - known for its multi-banner portfolio, with 27 brands under management across Canada and internationally - is rolling out the 'purple carpet' for the grand opening of 7 King Court, their first-ever fully branded, street front food plaza.  The grand opening takes place from 10 AM to 2 PM today at 7 King Street East in downtown Toronto.   With six MTY brands under one roof, customers can now choose menu items from Mr. SUB, Country Style, Thai Express, Villa Madina, Tiki-Ming and Sushi Shop, all conveniently located together in the downtown core.  Stylishly designed, with high ceilings and a brightly-lit interior, 7 King Court accomodates more than 100 guests and is located directly outside the King Street subway station on the Yonge line.

Toronto V.I.Ps including Mayor Rob Ford, who will officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony, will be on-hand for the festivities and will walk the 'purple carpet' while greeted  by the 7 King Court trumpeter and juggling court jester. Once inside, guests will enjoy live musi, complimentary cake and Country Style premium blend coffee, as well as samples from each of the six restaurants. Guest can enter to win courtside tickets to the Toronto Raptors as well as gift certificates from all six restaurants.  Carleton, the 'Leafs Bear' and the Toronto Raptors mascot will also be in attendance, adding excitement to the festive atmosphere.  Welcome remarks will be made by Jennifer Ma, MTY Group's senior marketing director.
