Music, dance and culinary discovery during the last two days of Week-ends du monde days of Week-ends du monde Français
MONTREAL, July 10, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Week-ends du monde, presented by Loto-Québec, a free event being held at Parc Jean-Drapeau, ends this weekend with a diversified program and many new features that visitors will surely enjoy.
The four main Week-ends du monde stages will be the focus of exciting activities throughout the two days. On Saturday, the attractions include the Cambodian Festival, Triniday - Montréal en harmonie, which features the stirring beats of Trinidad and Tobago, and the Shisha Show, with its Arabic music. Visitors will also be treated to a Funky evening with Wesli band and Papagroove from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and a special free Piknic Electronik performed with a Week-ends du monde flavour from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday will be equally festive with Colombia's National Day, the Dominican Festival, Montréal's Salvadorian Festival and the popular Brazilian summer carnival from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Meanwhile, visitors will also be able to enjoy an array of activities just off the major stages, on both days of the weekend event. These activities include such attractions as a show by fire-eaters, a gastronomical delight in Relais gourmand, Fiesta Latina and its San Tropez dance school, acrobatic acts by Carpe Diem circus performers, the Samajam percussion workshop, shows by the Société du patrimoine d'expression du Québec, and Festival Ngondo which celebrates African art.
