Music-Filled Adventure StarStruck Premieres on Family Channel

Disney Channel Original Movie StarStruck stars Sterling Knight as Hollywood Superstar

TORONTO, Feb. 18 /CNW/ - Astral Media's Family Channel presents the Canadian premiere of the music and adventure-filled movie StarStruck, starring Sterling Knight (Sonny With A Chance, 17 Again) and Danielle Campbell (Prison Break). This Disney Channel Original Movie follows super star heartthrob Christopher Wilde's chance meeting with down-to-earth mid-westerner Jessica Olson and the tough choice he faces between being true to himself and focusing on his glitzy Hollywood career. StarStruck premieres on Family Channel on Friday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT and will be available on Family OnDemand from March 16 to April 5.

While travelling to Los Angeles to visit her grandmother, Jessica meets hunky Hollywood star Christopher Wilde. Christopher seems to have it all - fame, fortune and an upcoming big budget movie. The pair strike up a friendship and Christopher realizes that he can be himself with Jessica. Their bond is tested when Christopher publicly denies knowing Jessica and he must decide what is more important - following his heart or doing what's best for his career.

Also starring are Maggie Castle (The Time Traveler's Wife), Brandon Mychal Smith (Sonny With A Chance) and Chelsea Staub (JONAS, Minutemen). Dan O'Connor (Malcolm in the Middle) and Beth Littleford (I'm In The Band, Rules of Engagement) star as Jessica's parents, Dean and Barbara Olson.

StarStruck is directed by Michael Grossman (90210, Grey's Anatomy), executive-produced by Doug Sloan (Princess Protection Program, Minutemen), co-executive-produced by Jeffrey Thal (Slaves To The Underground) and Jon Brown (The Poseidon Adventure, The Tie That Binds), choreographed by Zach Woodlee (Glee, Hairspray) and written by Barbara E. StarStruck premieres as part of Family Channel's star-studded week of spring break programming running from Monday, March 15 to Friday, March 19 and Monday, March 29 to Friday, April 2.
