Music industry legend Randy Lennox awarded the 2017 Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award
TORONTO, Jan. 23, 2017 /CNW/ - The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) today announced that music industry veteran executive Randy Lennox will be awarded the 2017 Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award for his longstanding commitment to Canadian Music.
The Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award recognizes industry leaders who have vastly contributed to the growth and development of the Canadian music industry. Named after famed Canadian publisher and trailblazer Walt Grealis, this year's award will be presented to Lennox at the 46th Annual JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards presented by SOCAN on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.
"I am humbled by this tremendous honour," said Lennox. "Thank you to CARAS and all of the talented people I've worked with over the years, including the incredible artists that help define our culture and make our country proud. I look forward to continuing to help our stars shine brighter than ever, here and around the world."
JUNO Week 2017 will be hosted in Ottawa from March 27 through April 2, 2017. A live broadcast of The 46th Annual JUNO Awards will air on CTV and CTV GO on Sunday, April 2 from the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.
