Nampala and Wili-Wili Projects: Planning of upcoming Exploration Program
TSXV: RBX
QUEBEC CITY, Sept. 1 /CNW Telbec/ - Robex Resources Inc. (TSX-V: RBX / FWB: RB4) is pleased to announce that it is preparing for a resumption of exploration works on two of its projects in Mali, following stoppage as a result of the rainy season in mid-June. Mr. Andre Gagne, President & CEO, and Mr. Jacques Marchand, geological engineer responsible for the update on the Nampala resource (press release of June 28th, 2010), will be leaving for Mali in September to plan and organize the next phase of the exploration program and other work assignments, mostly on the Nampala and Wili-Wili projects.
Nampala Project ---------------
On the Nampala Project, Mr. Marchand will first define the drilling pattern necessary to complete the drilling of the oxide mineralization of Zone 100 in its South-West and North-East extensions. To date, an area of about 75% of zone 100 has been drilled at 25 meters spacing, as recommended in the 43-101 technical report of Coffey Mining. This previous campaign of drilling resulted in an indicated resource of 244,000 onces of gold in the oxide mineralization. Drilling of the remaining 25% area in Zone 100 will be completed with the objective of increasing the indicated resource. In addition, a review of all geological databases information relating to Nampala is to be undertaken as well as the production of a topographic map for future engineering studies. An hydrogeological study to identify the capacity of the water table for recharge is also expected to be carried out so as to proceed with subsequent environmental studies in 2011.
Works on mineral characterization and metallurgical recovery test works are on-going so as to indentify the best method of extraction with the objective to proceed as soon as possible toward engineering studies on the exploitation of the oxidized minerals portion of the Nampala project. Initial results are expected by mid-September. Robex expect to complete an initial feasibility in 2011 so as to meet the terms of its permits in Mali. A series of condemnation holes are also to be carried out toward year end on potential locations for a tailing dam, plant and mine facilities.
Wili-Wili project -----------------
On Wili-Wili, the first phase will consist in completing assays from the previous drilling campaign of May 2010 with reverse circulation on the Hamdallaye zone where a large number of diggers were active. A new drilling campaign is to proceed in the same area as well as on the Fandou zone, where previous drillings confirmed an excellent potential for gold mineralization (press release of May 13, 2010). A preliminary model is expected to be developed on this project following the next campaign.
Drill capacity --------------
Robex is the owner of two reverse circulation drills in Mali of which one has been mobilized on Wili-Wili and is ready to work. Robex has its own employees for operation and maintenance of the drills, who were hired from the Yatela Mine in West Mali and where the two drills were purchased. The other drill is being reconditioned and will be ready to drill Zone 100 on Nampala in October. Therefore, Robex will have its drills positioned in West Mali and South Mali respectively, which minimizes transport costs and maximizes drilling availability.
