Nanika Resources Inc. - Bulldog Creek Update
VANCOUVER, Sept. 20 /CNW/ - Nanika Resources Inc. (TSX-V: NKA and FSE: C7X) announces that during the August 2010 program at Bulldog Creek a total of 27 rock samples and 3 silt samples were collected. Rock samples included 2 chip, 2 grab and 23 float samples. The bulk of the samples were collected on the southwest side of Bulldog Creek where Nanika's exploration crew encountered diverse mineralization occurring on the contact between Jurassic volcanic rocks and the Coast Plutonic Complex. All samples collected during the August 2010 program have been submitted for assay to Actlabs new facility in Stewart BC which opened for business in August. Assay results are expected within a few weeks time. After submission to the Stewart lab, the samples will go to the main lab in Ancaster, Ontario which is ISO 17025 certified (lab 266) for all methods. Reports will be generated from Ancaster, Ontario and final Quality Control is done there as well.
Nanika's "Bulldog" property is located approximately 10 kilometres south of Stewart, BC, on Bulldog Creek and consists of seven contiguous claims totaling 4,219.5 acres, or 1,707.5 hectares. There are no underlying crown grants to any of these claims.
One of the samples collected in the first work program on Bulldog Creek in June 2010 yielded 9.98 g/t gold and 50.3 g/t silver. The sample came from a 5 cm wide quartz vein with 3-5% pyrite located on the northeast side of Bulldog Creek. (See Nanika News Release of August 12, 2010 for full results). It should be noted that there is no certainty that previous exploration will be duplicated, and grab sample results may not be indicative of any mineralization on the property.
Alex Walus, P. Geo., a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101 is supervising Nanika's work program on the Bulldog Creek property and has reviewed and approved the technical disclosure in this news release.
