TORONTO, Feb. 10, 2015 /CNW/ - Two experts who are known for their speed are among the presenters at this year's Restaurants Canada Show: NASCAR driver Alex Tagliani and world champion oyster shucker Patrick McMurray. They're among the more than 20 experts who will be sharing their knowledge at the three-day foodservice industry event, which runs March 1 to 3 at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto.
The full seminar line-up has been posted at www.restaurantshow.ca. Most are free with admission to The Restaurants Canada Show, and range from Alex Tagliani - talking about his personal experience with life-threatening food allergies, and steps restaurant owners can take to address customer concerns – to Patrick McMurray, who owns the acclaimed Starfish Oyster Bed & Bar, sharing his in-depth oyster knowledge. Catering action stations, "eat and tweet," beer styles and marketing to millennials are among the other hot topics on this year's seminar menu.
Attendees can also choose from a number of paid seminars: TV host Jon Taffer of "Bar Rescue" offers proven advice on running a successful bar; Matt Rolfe of Barmetrix speaks about top-notch service strategies and business profitability; and Chef John Placko leads a hands-on session on molecular cuisine.
Members of the foodservice industry are invited to register online by Feb. 28 for the early bird rate of $40 for all three days of The Restaurants Canada Show (formerly the CRFA Show).
The Restaurants Canada Show is owned and operated by Restaurants Canada (formerly the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association), a national association comprising 30,000 businesses in every segment of the foodservice industry. Proceeds from the show are directed to research and advocacy efforts to help the industry grow and prosper.
