OTTAWA, Nov. 5, 2015 /CNW/ - The National Airlines Council of Canada (NACC), the trade association representing Canada's largest passenger air carriers, announced its 2016 Scholarship Program to help college and university students in Canada pursuing studies relating to airline operations or management, avionics and aircraft maintenance.
"The NACC strongly believes in the importance of fostering and encouraging the students and future leaders of aviation in Canada," said Marc-André O'Rourke, Executive Director of the NACC. "That is why our member carriers are so proud to once again be supporting passionate students across the country through our scholarship program," added O'Rourke.
Selected by a committee of NACC representatives, up to two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to students whose studies relate to aviation in Canada. Eligible students are invited to submit their applications by Friday, January 22nd at 5 pm EST. Award recipients will be announced at the NACC's annual summit in the spring of 2016.
