MONTREAL, July 10, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - National Bank is delighted to take part in the festivities marking the 31st edition of the Just For Laughs Festival by presenting two shows in the Festival's 2013 lineup: the French-language version of the musical comedy Hairspray, which continues until July 28, and two series of English-language performances.
"National Bank is proud to once again be a partner of the Just For Laughs Festival. We are pleased to support talented French- and English-speaking comedians and actors. This is yet another way for us to contribute to arts and culture in Quebec and consolidate Montreal's position as a cultural hub," said Lise-Anne Amyot, Vice-President - Brand Image and Data Governance at National Bank.
National Bank presents the smash hit Hairspray, the most ambitious production ever put on as part of the Just For Laughs Festival. Led by renowned director Denise Filiatrault, some 30 actors, singers and dancers will perform at Théâtre St-Denis. To the sound of catchy tunes that evoke '60s high school musicals, the audience will follow the adventures of the flamboyant Tracy Turnblad, a "pleasantly plump" teenager who dreams of dancing on the most popular TV show in town.
The Bank will also present two series of English-language shows: the National Bank Series and the National Bank Comicpro Series. These series will run from July 10 to 28 and showcase the most popular English-speaking comedians from Canada and the United States.
Every year, through its donations and sponsorships program and the initiatives of its employees, National Bank supports hundreds of organizations across Canada.
