National Business Book Award Announces Canada's Most Outstanding Business Book
TORONTO, May 26, 2014 /CNW/ - Today PwC Canada and BMO Financial Group will host the 29th National Business Book Award, one of Canada's most prestigious literary awards. The award luncheon will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, 60 Yorkville Avenue.
The National Business Book Award recognizes Canadian authors of exceptional non-fiction, business-related books. Selected by a seven-member independent jury, the finalists are vying for a $20,000 prize that will be awarded to the author of the most outstanding Canadian business-related book published in 2013.
This year's finalists are:
- Jim Leech and Jacquie McNish, The Third Rail: Confronting Our Pension Failures, published by Signal, an imprint of McClelland & Stewart.
- Nina Munk, The Idealist: Jeffrey Sachs and the Quest to End Poverty, published by Signal, an imprint of McClelland & Stewart.
- Donald J. Savoie, Harrison McCain: Single-Minded Purpose, published by McGill-Queen's University Press.
