CALGARY, Feb. 22, 2016 /CNW/ - The National Energy Board (NEB) today posted information online that allows Canadians to track company compliance with pipeline approval conditions. The new web page addresses the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development's (CESD) recommendation that the NEB improve public access to information about company compliance with approval conditions.
The information includes company compliance with pipeline approval conditions from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2015 and is in a downloadable format. Information will be updated monthly and improvements to enhance the user experience, including additional search and view options will be completed shortly.
The NEB imposes conditions to mitigate impacts and potential risks that have been identified through the application process. Companies are required to demonstrate their compliance with NEB conditions and enforcement action may be taken in circumstances of non-compliance with conditions.
