2018 Outstanding Achievement Awards honour employee excellence
OTTAWA, Dec. 12, 2018 /CNW/ - Employees were recognized and celebrated today for their contributions to the National Research Council of Canada's (NRC) scientific and technological achievements over the past year.
Award recipients are peer-nominated and nominations must clearly demonstrate how the nominee or the team's contribution is exceptional and how it benefits stakeholders.
NRC Outstanding Achievement Awards categories include excellence in research, partnerships, and research and technology breakthrough. These awards reward achievements and actions that support the NRC's values, recognize top performers and leaders from across the organization, and promote scientific and technological advances that benefit Canadians.

- The Schneider medal is the highest distinction bestowed upon National Research Council of Canada employees. Dr. Wayne Conlan received the Schneider medal this year in honour of his career-long contributions to the fight against infectious diseases.
