TORONTO, Sept. 4, 2018 /CNW/ - Natura Naturals ("Natura") is thrilled to announce that Health Canada has approved its 13,430 square foot processing and packaging area, within the Leamington facility. This area includes drying, trimming, bottling, packaging, destruction, shipping and receiving rooms.
President and CEO of Natura, Ben Nikolaevsky, said that the Health Canada approval continues to build on Natura's production momentum.
"With this approval from Health Canada, Natura now has full capabilities to process and package medical and recreational cannabis. This brings us much closer to obtaining our sales license." Nikolaevsky stated.
Natura will now move ahead with applications for two more flowering rooms at the facility, which will provide an additional 90,000 square feet of production space. Once completed, this additional capacity is expected to bring total annual medical-grade cannabis production to approximately 15,000 kilograms. When fully built-out in 2019, Natura's 662,000 square foot facility will have annual capacity of approximately 70,000 kilograms.
