Navigator acquires Playbook Communications
TORONTO, April 2, 2015 /CNW/ - Navigator Ltd. ("Navigator"), Canada's leading high-stakes public strategy and communications firm, has acquired Playbook Communications Inc. ("Playbook"). Through this acquisition Navigator continues to grow and offer unparalleled expertise to its clients across Canada and internationally. The transaction is effective April 2, 2015 when Playbook ceases operations and becomes a part of Navigator.
The Playbook team will be integrated into Navigator's Toronto office, offering significant expertise in public affairs, media relations, issues management and government relations. Mike Van Soelen, founder and president of Playbook, will become a managing principal at Navigator. Van Soelen brings over 15 years of communications and marketing experience and is a proven leader in the industry with relationships that span all sectors and all levels of government.
