TORONTO, April 9, 2019 /CNW/ - The Passover Food Drive provides people facing food insecurity within our community with kosher for Passover food. This is the 37th year that NCJWC, Toronto is actively running this community wide project. Last year, with the help of generous donors, we were able to ensure 2500 boxes of food were delivered. This is the 37th year that NCJWC, Toronto is actively running this important community wide project.
The cost of Kosher for Passover food is expensive and can be difficult to manage. Together we can ensure that everyone in our community is able to celebrate Passover with dignity and pride. Last year volunteers delivered food to help feed some of the 20,000 Jewish people living in poverty in the GTA, including children and seniors, of which 2000 are Holocaust survivors. Every gift is meaningful and will help support the hungry during the Passover Holiday.
