NDP Health Critic Demands Safer Microwave Levels for Schools with WiFi
TORONTO, Aug. 17 /CNW/ - France Gelinas, MPP, Ontario's NDP Health Critic wants tougher safety standards when it comes to WiFi in schools.
In a letter to Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health today, Gelinas stated, "I would like your office to give clear public health guidelines for exposure to Wi-Fi technology for different age groups, including school aged children."
The demand comes after students in fourteen schools near Barrie Ont. began reporting chronic health problems after a blanket WiFi system was installed by the school Board.
