CGA-Canada First National Body to Launch Accounting App
VANCOUVER, Feb. 21, 2012 /CNW/ - The Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA-Canada) today launched the Need an Accountant app for both the Android and Apple smartphone and tablet family. The Need an Accountant app offers free access to a searchable directory of Canadian certified general accountants (CGAs) across Canada.
"We are pleased to be a leader in this market and provide cutting edge technology that benefits the public and our members," says Anthony Ariganello, CGA-Canada's President and CEO. "We saw an opportunity to increase accessibility to CGAs across Canada and developed an app to work on multiple platforms.
Users can choose a location, service or specific accountant's name or firm. Once users make their selection, they can then dial directly from the contact information provided or send the address and driving directions to their phone. The app can even detect a user's current location and provide a selection of CGA public practice practitioners in the immediate vicinity.
