Neighbourhood Pharmacies Appoints New Vice President, Pharmacy Affairs and Senior Vice President, Public Affairs
TORONTO, Feb. 2, 2018 /CNW/ - The Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada (Neighbourhood Pharmacies) is pleased to announce the appointments of Sandra Hanna as Vice President, Pharmacy Affairs and Aimee Sulliman as Senior Vice President, Public Affairs.
Sandra is a pharmacist who brings extensive industry knowledge and subject matter expertise, with more than ten years' experience working in, owning and operating community pharmacy. In her new role, she will work closely with Neighbourhood Pharmacies' members to develop policy, stake out positions and prepare advice to government on legislation and regulations.
"Since Sandra began working with us as a consultant in 2017, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, in-depth knowledge of pharmacy business models and a passion to advocate for the advancement of pharmacy," said Justin J. Bates, CEO. "We are glad to welcome Sandra."
"I've seen how the team at Neighbourhood Pharmacies works hard with and on behalf of its members to deliver on their priorities," said Sandra. "I know my experience working on the front lines of community pharmacy will help the Association strengthen its collaboration with members to drive care innovation."
After years working in the sector, Sandra became co-owner of an independent pharmacy in 2013. Today she is a sought-after advisor in the industry. Sandra is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
Aimee brings to the executive team over 20 years of success and senior level experience within government and corporate healthcare sectors, including several pharmaceutical companies. She had previously served Neighbourhood Pharmacies as Vice President, Public Affairs.
"Since joining Neighbourhood Pharmacies, Aimee has brought a sophisticated and professional approach to public affairs and shown success in achieving advocacy objectives," said Bates.
"I am excited to continue to work with Justin and the rest of the team at Neighbourhood Pharmacies to build partnerships with government and bring results for our members," said Aimee. "I know that, together, we can deliver the highest-quality care in pharmacies across the country."
Aimee previously held senior roles in Market Access and Government Relations with several research-based pharmaceutical companies, NATIONAL Public Relations, and the Ontario government. She is a graduate of the University of Guelph.
