Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada Announces New Board Chair
TORONTO, July 14, 2017 /CNW/ - The Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada (Neighbourhood Pharmacies) announced that Jeff Leger, Executive Vice President, Pharmacy and Healthcare of Loblaw Companies Limited and Shoppers Drug Mart, is the new Chair of the Association for a two-year term.

Justin J. Bates, Chief Executive Officer of Neighbourhood Pharmacies added that "we look forward to working closely with Jeff as our Chair for the next two years. With Jeff's vision and focus, we will continue building on the credible and trusted relationships with our stakeholders to influence and help shape healthcare policy at both provincial/territorial and federal levels."
Jeff Leger's term as Chair began at the Association's 2017 AGM, held on Friday, May 26, and continues through to the 2019 AGM. Jeff follows Vivek Sood, Executive Vice President, Related Businesses of Sobeys Inc., who held the Chair position since 2014 and will be assuming the Past Chair position on Neighbourhood Pharmacies Board of Directors.

Vivek Sood said that "it has been an honour to serve as Chair of the Association, advocating on behalf of the business and the profession of pharmacy. I look forward to serving on the Association's Board of Directors as Past Chair and to work together with Members in our joint effort to provide all Canadians with access to quality healthcare products and services."
