NeoPollard Interactive and Michigan Lottery Achieve iCAP Certification
WINNIPEG, Nov. 5, 2015 /CNW/ - NeoPollard Interactive LLC ("NeoPollard Interactive") is pleased to announce it has completed the Internet Responsible Gambling Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) and been fully certified by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). NeoPollard Interactive also congratulates the Michigan Lottery for becoming the first U.S. lottery to obtain iCAP certification.
The first program of its kind in the U.S., iCAP provides vendors and operators with an independent assessment of responsible gaming policies based on standards and best practices from jurisdictions around the world. As members of NCPG, the Michigan Lottery and NeoPollard Interactive voluntarily sought iCAP certification after collaborating to launch an online games program for the Lottery in 2014.
"We believe that problem gambling must be addressed by vendors and lotteries alike," said Keith Whyte, Executive Director, NCPG. "We applaud NeoPollard Interactive and the Michigan Lottery for meeting or exceeding operational standards for all of the NCPG's specific 30-point criteria in order to achieve iCAP certification."
Doug Pollard, Co-Chief Executive Officer, NeoPollard Interactive, added, "Responsible gaming is now the industry standard for vendors and their lottery partners. In obtaining iCAP certification along with the Michigan Lottery, our goal is to develop socially responsible tools and practices that will protect the interests of players while at the same time maximizing lottery sales and proceeds for good causes in the long-term."
Ilan Rosen, Co-Chief Executive Officer, NeoPollard Interactive, said, "Sustainable consumer engagement and loyalty can only be achieved when lottery customers are playing within their limits. For this reason, our iLottery 360° solution includes a robust suite of responsible gaming tools to manage gaming behaviors. iCAP certification affirms our commitment to helping our lottery customers minimize risk to their players and encourage responsible play."
The NCPG, a non-profit organization founded in 1972, leads state and national stakeholders in the development of comprehensive policy and programs for all those affected by problem gambling.
