TORONTO, Aug. 15, 2012 /CNW/ - Starting September 1, GO Transit will be adjusting some schedules, increasing service on some routes and reinstating its GO Bus service to schools.
In order to operate an efficient transit system across the region and meet changing demand, GO continually monitors its services and make modifications accordingly.
The service changes include:
51 - Pickering/York University GO Bus
- School trips have been reinstated
- Some trip times have been adjusted within five minutes to reflect actual travel times, including some earlier departures.
- Accessible bus service will now be available at Pickering GO and U of T Scarborough
- The weekday westbound trip from Pickering GO at 7:15 a.m. will now depart five minutes later.
- Two new weekday westbound trips will run from Pickering GO to York University.
52 - Oshawa/York University GO Bus
- School trips have been reinstated
- Two new weekday trips will run between York University and Oshawa Bus Terminal.
- New weekend service will run every two hours.
54 - Markham/York University GO Bus
- A new weekday eastbound trip from York University at 10:30 p.m. will arrive at Mount Joy GO at 11:10, serving all stops in between.
