TORONTO, Aug. 15, 2012 /CNW/ - Starting September 1, GO Transit will be adjusting some schedules, increasing service on some routes, and reinstating its GO Bus service to schools. In order to operate an efficient transit system across the region and meet changing demand, GO continually monitors its services and make modifications accordingly.
The service changes include:
29 - Guelph/Mississauga GO Bus
- School trips have been reinstated
- Some trip times have been adjusted within five minutes to reflect actual travel times, including some earlier departures.
- A new Friday eastbound trip from Guelph Central GO at 12:50 p.m. will arrive at Square One at 2:00.
46 - Oakville/York University GO Bus
- School trips have been reinstated
- Some trip times have been adjusted within five minutes to reflect actual travel times, including some earlier departures.
45 - Mississauga/York University GO Bus
- Some trip times have been adjusted within five minutes, including some earlier departures.
47 - Hamilton/York University GO Bus
- Three new Friday eastbound trips will run between McMaster University and York University, serving Bramalea GO and Keele/Snidercroft.
- Some trips now require passengers to request stops at Bramalea GO Station. These trips are indicated by a 'D' on the schedule.
- The weekday westbound trip from Bramalea GO at 6:45 a.m. will now start from Square One at 7:15 and run express to McMaster University at 7:50; this trip no longer serves Bramalea GO.
- Two new weekday westbound trips from Square One will run express to McMaster University.
- Two weekday westbound trips have been extended to serve York University.
- The weekday westbound trip from Bramalea GO at 7:45 a.m. has been discontinued. Passengers can take the 7:15 or 8:15 trips from Bramalea GO.
- Four new Sunday trips will run express in either direction between McMaster University and Bramalea GO, serving York University.
- Sixteen new weekend trips will run in either direction between Hamilton GO Centre and Yorkdale GO Terminal, increasing frequency on the route to approximately every half hour.
- Trip times for some weekend trips have been adjusted within five minutes, including some earlier departures.
48 - Guelph/York University GO Bus
- A new westbound trip from York University at 6:05 a.m. will arrive at University of Guelph at 7:45.
- A new Friday eastbound trip from University of Guelph at 1:10 p.m. will arrive at Meadowvale GO at 1:55.
- The weekday eastbound trip from Meadowvale GO at 7:25 a.m. will depart five minutes later at 7:30.
