New Brand Identity Positions Enercare for the Future
Direct Energy Home Services is now Enercare Home Services in Ontario
TORONTO, June 25, 2015 /CNW/ - Enercare Inc. ("Enercare") unveiled its new brand identity today with the launch of a new logo, a responsive design website, a redesigned fleet of vehicles, and new workforce uniforms. The rebrand follows the October 2014 acquisition of Direct Energy Marketing Limited's home and small commercial services business in Ontario and builds on Enercare's vision of being the country's premier provider of home and commercial services and energy solutions. In Ontario, Direct Energy Home Services now fully operates as Enercare Home Services, which consumers can count on for unparalleled service and expertise.
"Our new brand is a bold departure from our previous look. It's designed to set us apart from competitors and is a key stage in our transformation to become an exceptional services and energy solutions provider," said John Macdonald, President and CEO, Enercare. "The brand refresh is just one of many changes and improvements we're making at Enercare, which will continue to roll-out in the coming months."
The rebrand applies to Enercare Home Services, which provides water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners and other HVAC rental products, protection plans and related services in Ontario to over 1.1 million customers.
Enercare's new branding reflects a confident and energetic perspective on the company's future in the home services sector. A refined colour system is part of a larger brand platform, which reflects the re-defined role Enercare will play in the lives of Canadians.
This fall, Enercare will launch a fully-integrated mass marketing campaign, introducing customers to the new brand, and in August, the Direct Energy Centre at Exhibition Place in Toronto will rebrand as the Enercare Centre.
In the meantime, customers will begin to notice significant changes to the Enercare brand and the services the company provides. This includes:
- A brand new look to the uniforms of more than 700 front-line employees and 650 vehicles.
- A redesign of the Enercare website. The new site, Enercare.ca, is mobile-friendly and easier to navigate so visitors can easily find product and service information. A new blog providing content like energy efficiency tips and advice from experts is also published on the site.
- Rebranded call centre operations. Current customers in Ontario will reach Enercare for service through the phone number they've always used and talk to local agents who understand Canadian homes and can provide an exceptional level of service. This commitment stems from the recent move of all call centre operations back to Canada, creating more than 160 local jobs.
"Our new brand signals to our stakeholders, especially consumers, that we're not an average home services company. Through the changes we're making and a continued focus on providing exceptional, caring and genuine service, we hope to change the way people think about the industry," said Macdonald.
Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Enercare is proudly owned and operated in Canada and employs more than 900 people across the country. Enercare trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: ECI).
