Dr. Bonita Porter
, Deputy Chief Coroner for Inquests today announced that a new date has been set for the inquest into the death of Martin Blackwind.
Mr. Blackwind
, 51, died on
October 3, 2006
, at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital after being transferred from the Warkworth Institution in Campbellford. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroner's Act.
The inquest will examine the events surrounding
Mr. Blackwind
's death and the jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest will now begin at
9:30 a.m.
on
Monday, January 18, 2010
, at the Port Hope courthouse, 56

Dr. Peter A. Clark
