TORONTO, May 31 /CNW/ - There's only one thing keeping the West family together, and that's handcuffs. As announced last week in CTV's summer schedule release, the new hour-long series SCOUNDRELS premieres Sunday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). A humorous look at a family of small-time criminals who try to turn their lives around after their father is sent to prison, SCOUNDRELS stars Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Virginia Madsen (Sideways, The Astronaut Farmer) as matriarch Cheryl West and Toronto-native David James Elliott (CLOSE TO HOME) as Wolfgang "Wolf" West. Following broadcasts on CTV, SCOUNDRELS will also be available on demand on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca.
Based on the New Zealand hit series OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE, SCOUNDRELS also stars Patrick Flueger (THE 4400) as Logan West and twin brother Calvin "Cal" West; Leven Rambin (GREY'S ANATOMY) as Heather West; Vanessa Marano (GILMORE GIRLS) as Hope West; and Carlos Bernard (24) as Sergeant Mack.
In the series premiere "And Jill Came Tumbling After" (Sunday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET), the family is shaken when their father Wolf (Elliott) is sentenced to a surprisingly long prison term, leaving mom Cheryl (Madsen) to take care of the criminally enterprising brood on her own. In an effort to keep her kids out of trouble, she decides it's time for the family to go straight.
