New High Profile Tenant Chooses Gare Viger - Coalision and its Lolë and Paradox brands to occupy 30,000 square feet Français
MONTREAL, Dec. 9, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jesta Group is proud to announce the arrival of a major new tenant to its Gare Viger redevelopment project: Coalision Inc. will be moving its headquarters to the former Chateau Viger, located at the eastern gateway to Old Montreal.
Coalison's Lolë and Paradox brands' employees will occupy 30,000 square feet in this mixed-use site that will be completely refurbished. Coalison will move in to its new headquarters in the Fall of 2015.
"We are very proud to be welcoming Coalision, a team that has grown a strong international reputation in recent years. We are thankful to the company's executives and its employees for selecting our project as their new international headquarters. Their choice is proof of our shared belief in the site's tremendous potential. Located in a quickly-growing neighbourhood, Gare Viger offers a truly unique and dynamic environment to its tenants," said Anthony O'Brien, Senior Managing Director of Jesta Group.
Last May, the Jesta Group announced the launch of the first phase of the Gare Viger project, a major real estate development which represents a total investment of $250 million. Located on the site of the former Gare Viger, the first phase involves the revitalization of the former Chateau Viger and the former Berri Station, transforming them into a dynamic retail and office environment.
For this first phase, the Jesta Group is investing more than $20 million toward the redevelopment of the existing historical buildings. The site is accessible via bike path on Berri Street and is a block from the CHUM Hospital, the CRCHUM Research Centre, and the Champ de Mars Metro station.
Two other high profile tenants have already announced their decision to move in to this project:
- Lightspeed, a leading company in the development inventory management and point of sale solutions, will move its head office to the Chateau Viger in 2015, occupying the top four floors of the building, with more than 35,000 square feet;
- The Montreal brewery, Brasseur de Montréal will open its second location, occupying 5,000 square feet on the former Berri Station's ground floor.
Finally, Jesta IS, a subsidiary of Jesta Group, has been occupying over 20,000 square feet in the former Berri Station since May of this year.
