TORONTO, Oct. 19, 2016 /CNW/ -- Hikvision Canada Inc., the Canadian leader in innovative, award-winning video surveillance products and solutions, is introducing three new video surveillance solutions -- all designed to help security professionals with specific design requirements or who work in challenging environments do their jobs more efficiently -- at the Security Canada Central conference, which is taking place here Oct. 19-20, 2016.
"Integrators want high quality video image solutions that they can deliver to their end user clients at a price point that will help them secure more business and increased profits," said Lorne Terry, Hikvision national sales director, Canada. "The solutions we're introducing at SCC this week, a high-megapixel camera, a multi-sensor camera and two new camera form-factors, increase their ability to do that," Terry said.
The new products include: Smart Pro IP 12 MP Outdoor Dome Network Camera; the Smart Pro IP Multi-Sensor Network Camera; the Hikvision Speciality Camera Solution 2MP Stainless Steel Outdoor Dome, which is also part of the Smart IP/Pro Series; and a number of cameras now available in black housings.
The Hikvision Smart Pro IP 12 MP Outdoor Dome Network Camera is ideal for monitoring long distance areas such as sporting arenas, outdoor parking facilities, and city centres.
"When there is criminal activity, identification is critical to obtain a prosecution. The video must show a clear head-and-shoulders image," Terry said. "Our 12 MP camera provides this. Integrators can also cover a larger area with fewer cameras to manage. This reduces VMS licensing cost and makes it easier for security managers to investigate incidents," he added.
For many years the multi-sensor camera market has had to endure unstitched views and recorded output. The Smart Pro IP Multi-Sensor Network Camera has a stitched view, which makes it easier to view larger situational areas and follow events from a more natural viewpoint.
"Viewing one stitched image makes it easier for security officers to view a large area for situational awareness. Fewer cameras makes for easier focus and investigations," Terry said.
Hikvision Speciality Camera Solution 2MP Stainless Steel Outdoor Dome resists corrosion that can occur in harsh outdoor and indoor environments such as marine facilities, or manufacturing facilities that use corrosive chemicals, cleaning solutions, or other hazardous materials in their processes.
"Some end users prefer the aesthetics of a stainless camera. Likewise, Hikvsion's new cameras in black housings are sought after for their aesthetic appeal. Many retailers, restaurants, and commercial spaces like this form factor because it blends better with decor," Terry said.
Security Canada Central attendees can see Hikvision's new products at the Hikvision Canada Booth No. 909 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
