New Hydraulic gate supplier, Paris Ontario

PARIS, ON, May 6, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - ANDRITZ HYDRO has formed a new company, Andritz Hydro AFI Inc., for the purchase of assets from former AFI Hydro Inc., of Paris Ontario, Canada who entered receivership February 24, 2014.  The company has been successful as a supplier for all types of gates for hydroelectric facilities and water control structures including repairs and replacements.  They have supplied gates for a variety of Ontario Power Generation (OPG) plants over the years and recently have done work for Alta Gas, Manitoba Hydro and H2O Power.

This operation will complement existing ANDRITZ HYDRO Canada business and expand the package of equipment that can be offered to Canadian Hydro customers.  Operations will be restarted with 50 employees. Dave Ballantyne, original president for Allied Fabricators, will continue as Senior Vice President involved in sales.  Business will continue at 6 Adams Street, Paris, Ontario and main phone number remains 519 442 7884.
