New Launches at The China (Shanghai) International Boat Show 2013
SHANGHAI, April 3, 2013 /CNW/ - Opinions are often subjective but there can be no doubt what many boat builders consider to be the premier boat show, certainly in China and probably also in Asia.
A bold statement perhaps, but at the 18th China (Shanghai) International Boat Show (CIBS) around 50 boats will be making their China debut. And this figure doesn't include those other ancillary products that will be seen in China for the first time.
It is a very real truism that there is no emotion in business so it would most definitely be wrong to assume that these launches are occurring for no other reason than the fact that the various builders feel that the CIBS gives their new models the greatest chance for the maximum exposure to the boat buying public.
While boating is not just for the mega-rich, it is certainly not for the poor, and the CIBS, with easily a greater number of (audited) visitors than any other show in Asia, gives maximum possible exposure to interested and potential boat buyers. Add to this fact that Shanghai boasts over 132,000 millionaires and it is easy to see why the various boat builders' marketing departments rightly perceive a venue such as CIBS as not only money well spent but also gives their companies' new products the right positioning in China's growing leisure marine market.
Join the many other thousands of visitors to get the earliest possible viewing in Asia of some exciting new boats that many builders are pinning their hopes on.
It will be quite a birthday party with CIBS reaching its 18th year and coming of age and being 20% bigger than last year, which itself was 30% bigger than the year before. It is likely that sales records, not only for CIBS but for any Asian show, will be tidily beaten
The China (Shanghai ) International Boat Show runs from April 11th to April 14th at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
