TORONTO, Sept. 8, 2015 /CNW/ - The Kit, a leading Canadian beauty and style authority, today launches Toronto's first pop-up magazine, The Kit Compact. The inaugural 44-page magazine will be hand distributed by The Kit Compact brand ambassadors throughout the city from September 8 to 11 and can be found in core commuter hubs and select shopping centres.
"Fashion media brands around the world have introduced pop-up magazines with great success, and we wanted to bring that popular concept to Canadians," says Laura deCarufel, editor-in-chief of The Kit. "The Kit Compact offers the best of Toronto style and beauty. Our team will be scouting local shops, test-driving style and beauty essentials and dissecting trends so our readers can plug into the best of the city — all in one place."
The Kit Compact targets Toronto-based fashion-minded millennial women, ages 25 to 35, and focuses primarily on locally driven content, including features on inspiring women, fashion market pieces, trends, personal essays and photo shoots. The magazine is free and 50,000 copies will be distributed monthly across Toronto. The Kit Compact will be handed out by brand ambassadors, dressed by wardrobe partner Forever 21.
