NEW PORSCHE CEO UNWRAPS NEW 911 MODELS IN PARIS
Matthias Muller takes over responsibilities from Michael Macht
PARIS, Sept. 29 /CNW/ - Matthias Muller (57), the new Chief Executive Officer of Porsche AG, will unveil the new Porsche 911 Speedster as well as the 911 Carrera GTS at the Paris Motor Show on Thursday, September 30.
An event organised by the Volkswagen Group on the evening before the autumn's leading motor also saw the official handover of responsibilities on the Porsche AG Board of Management. After a successful tenure, Michael Macht (50) symbolically handed the Porsche steering wheel to his successor.
Matthias Muller's assumption of office as Chief Executive Officer coincides with two world debuts. The 911 Speedster is but the fourth to have been built in Porsche's history and is steeped in purist tradition, while the new wide-body, rear-wheel drive Carrera GTS, in coupe and cabriolet form, reflects the forward-looking nature of the brand.
